I intend to give you a mixture of the day-to-day practical recipes that I cook for my family, mixed with some tips and tricks for fine dining and plating.


Winkles on toast

This recipe always reminds me of my childhood when we used to get beautiful fresh ones from the fish man at the market for Sunday tea.

I love to serve this with purple sprouting broccoli, steamed spinach or another dark green but choose the veg you love.

You can’t beat a great chilli and this is my relatively quick mid-week version.

One pot chicken with tomato, bacon and mushrooms

This is a real midweek favourite in my house. It’s very easy, very tasty, great for freezing and economical too.


Strawberry and Rhubarb crumble

This is the perfect pud for warm days and breezy evenings. I make it gluten-free, and I don’t think anyone’s ever noticed.
